2014: Research Collaborator: ‘Food Security, Yield Gaps and Potential Growth in East Africa’. A pilot study conducted in Mbale sub-region between 1st and 6th of February, 2014 to determine crop yield gaps/differences using a number of methods including: socio-economic surveys, geographical information systems, remote sensing methods and aerial photography. The project is headed by the Department of Human Geography, Lund University-Sweden.
2012 -2014: Principal Investigator: Assessing the Impact of Landuse/cover Change on Soil Organic Carbon and Implications for Adaptation to Climate Variability on the Slopes of Mount Elgon, Eastern Uganda. Research funded under the Makerere – SIDA Research Capacity Building Programme 2010 -2014
