MR. Kyambadde RichardI am a Ugandan professional with a Master of Science degree in Environment Science and Technology (2000) from UNESCO-IHE Delft, The Netherlands. I also hold a Diploma in Limnology (1999) from the Institute of Limnology, Austria and a Bachelor of Science degree (second class upper) in Zoology and Botany, (1997) from Makerere University I have over fourteen years’ experience in environment science and management of natural resources focusing on ecological research and assessment of water resources, water and environmental quality assessment, limnology and wetlands assessment, biodiversity/wildlife assessment. I have acquired good working knowledge and experience at national and EA regional level; central government, local governments and civil society, donor funded projects and community based ENR management. Currently, I work as a Senior Wetlands Officer with the Department of Wetlands Management under the Ministry of Water & environment since 2009. I am responsible for research, assessment and development aspects related to the management and conservation of wetland ecosystems in Uganda. I am the National Environment Officer for the implementation of LVEMP II for Uganda. LVEMP II is a multi-sectoral regional project (2011 – 2015).whose implementation is coordinated by LVBC and the Min. of Water and Environment in Uganda. The project is funded by WB, GEF and SIDA. I am a member of the Advisory board for the GlobE regional Project that is concerned with enhancing food productivity from wetlands under sustainable management. Previously (2008 – 2009), I worked a Project Manager for River Semuliki Integrated Water Resources Management Project under WWF. Between 2004 – 2008, I worked a Research Associate with the Lake Victoria Environment Management Project (LVEMP I) under the then Wetlands Inspection Division, Ministry of Water, Lands and Environment. I have excellent leadership and team building skills;
